Who is Khris Francis?

Khris Francis is a native of Durham and a Certified Personal Trainer in Raleigh.

A graduate of Hillside High School, he won a football state championship as a running back before going to play at the University of North Carolina. His No. 1 jersey he wore for the Tar Heels inspired the name of Uno’s Fitness.

While in college in Chapel Hill, Khris earned a degree in Exercise & Sports Science. In addition to being a Certified Personal Trainer, he’s also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and is certified in First Aid & CPR.

Khris began training others immediately after college, while also working to continue his football career. After recovering from an ACL tear at UNC, he had a chance to play professional football in the German Football League for two seasons.

Khris’ participation in sports is what helped him develop a passion for fitness. Through his time as an athlete, he learned that functional strength training is the best form of exercise for everyone. Functional strength training includes exercises and movements that require your feet to be in contact with the ground while you mimic day-to-day movements. This helps make basic movements easier and improves performance and quality in life.

Personal training has allowed Khris to make a positive impact in his community. He wants to build his clients up by instilling confidence and building high self-esteem, no matter where they are in their fitness journey. This allows Khris to work with everyone, from athletes, to people who are already working out regularly, to people who don’t know where to start.
