You don’t have to be a body builder to benefit from a personal trainer.
No matter where you are in your health & fitness journey, whether you go to the gym daily or have never been at all, working with a personal trainer can benefit you in many ways. From teaching you proper mechanics and creating custom workouts designed for you, to helping you stay motivated and accountable, a personal trainer is an important tool for anyone looking to hit — and maintain — fitness goals.
Uno’s Fitness is ready to help you reach your goals.

Personalized experience with expert coaching.
When it comes to fitness, one size does not fit all, that’s why Certified Personal Trainers like Khris Francis work with their clients one-on-one to develop a personalized plan to reach and maintain goals.
What are your goals? Are you looking to lose weight, build muscle, rehab an injury, improve your mobility and flexibility, prepare for a sport, or train for a marathon? These all require different approaches. Your plan is based on your goals, your fitness level, your health conditions, and other factors specific to you.
A personal trainer will use their training, education, and experience to show you the correct form and mechanics, which will help prevent injuries. They will show you how to maximize the impact of your workouts and adjust in real-time as needed. The adaptability of a personal trainer allows you to adjust your workouts as your fitness levels improve, goals change, or injuries happen.
Personal trainers keep you motivated and accountable.
Everyone who works out eventually goes through a period of time where they struggle to stay motivated. It could be a plateau in your progress, it could be that you’re bored with your workouts, or maybe it’s another factor in a different area of your life.
A personal trainer can help motivate you, and when your motivation levels are low, they can help you stay disciplined by holding you accountable. Scheduled workouts with a personal trainer help you stay consistent and commit to your health and fitness.
Workouts can get boring over time too, especially if you’re doing the same workouts day after day. That isn’t the case with a personal trainer. Instead, they can help keep you focused and engaged by adding different exercises or adapting exercises to give your body and mind a new stimulus.
Overcome fitness challenges.
When people are working towards a fitness goal, there are inevitably hurdles that they must clear. Sometimes those hurdles become too much for one person to overcome though. That’s where a personal trainer can help.
If you’re trying to lose weight or build muscle, you may see a period of success, but then hit a plateau where you don’t see much change for an extended period of time. A personal trainer can help you figure out what’s causing your progress to stall and then introduce solutions to fix it.
Do you struggle to find the time to workout consistently? When you workout with a personal trainer, you’re blocking off time in your schedule during the week to dedicate to your health and fitness. This helps you stay consistent. And a personal trainer can make sure you’re doing the correct exercises so you get the most out of the time you have.
Personal trainers can also help you overcome limitations from health conditions and injuries. There are many ways personal trainers can modify workouts for individual clients. They can also make sure you progress in a safe way, especially if you’re a beginner, starting to exercise after a long time off, or coming back from injury.
Your mental approach to working out is also important. Personal trainers can help you build confidence in the gym. They will encourage you when you need it and hold you accountable when it’s necessary. There’s no need to be intimidated by a personal trainer. You’re working one-on-one with them, and they’re job is to help you reach your goal. When you hit a milestone or accomplish a goal, they’ll be there to celebrate with you.
Certification matters.
Not all personal trainers are created equal.
When choosing a personal trainer, you should ask about their education and certifications.
A certified personal trainer has gone through educational classes, passed a certification test, and has to maintain their status. This is not the case for fitness enthusiasts who may have experience working out, but have never been trained to help others.
Khris Francis is not only a Certified Personal Trainer through ACE, he also holds a B.A. in Exercise & Sports Science from UNC-Chapel Hill, and is certified in CPR/AED and First Aid by the American Red Cross. Khris is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through NSCA, which is the highest level of certification in the fitness industry.
Khris also holds lots of firsthand experience working out. He was once one of the top-rated high school football players in North Carolina, played college football at UNC, and spent two seasons playing professionally in Germany. He’s helped all kinds of people reach their fitness goals as a personal trainer since graduating college.
